Are you ready to start blowing up your reach Reader?
Ever have those days when you really want to make content but you're just completely unmotivated? You know what needs to be done but just feeling downright lazy?
It doesn't happen often, but when it does, you need to be quick on the draw for content. So here are 3 steps to use on those lazy days that can make these lazy pieces of content do better than all the rest!
First, remember to keep it super simple, because we're being lazy today. Sometimes you just have to own it right?!
A lack of motivation doesn't have to stop you when you know you have backups in place.
Ever heard the saying "proper preparation prevents poor performance" I'll talk about this later!
Insert B-roll.
You know those videos on your phone of some random scenery or footage that isn't directed at anyone or anything specific? Most of us have them in our camera roll. I bet if you look back you'll find some of your own. If you haven't been making a habit of capturing this type of video, START today!!
Second, always watch reels with a purpose, not just for entertainment, but for preparation! Save or draft those trending audios when you're scrolling and being entertained.
Oftentimes, I'll sit in the car scrolling while waiting to pick up the kids and if I see one I think I might want to recreate, I'll press "use audio" and, depending on how I look, face the camera towards or away, hit record, and leave it in drafts as a placeholder for a reels batching day.
Side note: It'll make you feel like you're multi-tasking, so that's a win!
Preparation and entertainment. Two birds, one stone!
Last but not least, after going through some of my drafts, I found an audio that I liked, slapped some b-roll from a San Francisco trip a few weeks back, and voila.
That was the reel. It was really that simple and
The key to some virality was number 3.
Making a reel that could be shared.
No one's face was used, the scenery was somewhat calming, and more importantly, the message was relatable to most entrepreneurs.
Remember, everyone else is looking for easy content too for those lazy days and your content could be the piece that comes in clutch!
Focus on shareability and saveability when coming up with your reels.
This isn't to show you how to make your reels go viral but to highlight how simple and easy making social content really should be so be sure to employ these 3 easy tips and start preparing for those inevitably lazy days when the struggle is real and you still need/want to produce some content.
